This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones are used on retailforce.agency, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can control them. It applies to our website. Our Shopify apps are covered separately in section 6.

1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you return, the browser sends that file back, which lets the site recognise your session, remember your settings, or measure how the site is being used.
Cookies fall into two useful distinctions:
- Session or persistent. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays until it expires or you delete it.
- First party or third party. A first party cookie is set by the site you are visiting. A third party cookie is set by another domain whose content or script is loaded on the page.
2. Related technologies
Alongside cookies, websites commonly use a few related technologies. Where we refer to cookies in this policy, we mean these as well:
- Pixels and web beacons. Tiny transparent images that confirm a page was opened or an email was read.
- Local storage. Browser storage that holds data without sending it on every request.
- Embedded scripts. Code loaded from a server that measures how you interact with a page.
3. Categories we use
Cookies on this website fall into four categories.
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. They handle session integrity, security, fraud prevention, load balancing and routing. These cannot be switched off through a preference tool, because the site cannot operate without them. They do not require consent under most privacy laws.
Functional
Remember choices you make, such as your language or country, so the site behaves consistently between visits. Blocking these does not break the site, but some conveniences stop working.
Performance and analytics
Help us understand which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site, and where something is failing. This is aggregated and used to improve the site.
Marketing
Record which campaign or referring site brought you here, so we can measure what works. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising.
4. Cookies on this website
retailforce.agency runs on Shopify, and Shopify sets a standard set of first party cookies on every store. The main ones are listed below. Exact names and durations can change as Shopify updates its platform.

Shopify maintains its own description of these cookies, which you can read in the Shopify cookie policy.
5. Third party cookies
Third party cookies are set by services whose scripts run on our pages, not by us directly. Where we use analytics or advertising services, those providers set their own cookies and process the resulting data under their own privacy policies. We do not control how long they retain it.
Because our stack can change, the most reliable way to see exactly what is running on any page is to open your browser developer tools and inspect the cookies for the domain, or use a privacy extension that lists trackers. If you would like a current written list, email us and we will provide one.
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individuals, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
6. Cookies in our apps
This is the part merchants usually want to know, so it is worth stating plainly.
Our three apps, RF Retail Barcode Labels Print, OrderEditing.app and Upsell, and RetailForce POS Time Clock In, run inside the Shopify admin. They use only the cookies and session storage needed to keep you authenticated and to keep the interface working while you use them.
- They do not place advertising or cross site tracking cookies on your storefront
- They do not track your customers across other websites
- They do not add third party marketing scripts to your theme
Installing one of our apps therefore does not add tracking cookies to your customers' browsing experience, and does not change what you need to disclose in your own cookie banner.
7. Managing your preferences
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings. Block or delete cookies for this site or for all sites. See section 8 for the settings page for each major browser.
- Industry opt out programmes. The Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance let you opt out of interest based advertising from participating companies. In Europe, use Your Online Choices.
- Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics opt out browser add on to prevent measurement across all sites that use it.
- Contact us. Email support@retailforce.io and we will help with any request relating to cookies or tracking.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site from working. Blocking the other categories is safe.
8. Browser controls
Every major browser lets you review and delete cookies:
Settings apply per browser and per device, so a change made on your laptop will not carry over to your phone.
9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is still no agreed industry standard for how sites should interpret it, so our website does not currently respond to it.
Global Privacy Control is a newer signal that some privacy laws do recognise as a valid opt out request. Where we are legally required to honour it, we do.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website changes, when a provider changes its cookies, or when the law changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we use cookies, we will make that clear on the site before it takes effect.
